Coach Kea possesses over 25 years of combined playing and coaching experience in the volleyball discipline. A 2007 graduate of Kamehameha-Kapālama, she secured two D1 State championships, two ILH championships, and was awarded ILH Player of the Year in 2005. Subsequently, she earned a full athletic scholarship to Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. In her coaching career, she has won many local tournaments, but nationally her recent achievements include winning the Las Vegas Classic Club Division in 2022, followed by the Las Vegas Classic Premier Division in 2023. The term "Ho'omau," meaning perseverance, holds a multifaceted significance for Coach Kea, both professionally and personally. She dedicates herself to guiding young athletes in directly confronting challenges, learning from her mistakes in her life and believing that the lessons learned through athletics cultivate individual character and prepare athletes for life beyond adolescence. Ho'omau Athletics program incorporates her Christian faith, with team practices and tournaments concluding in prayer, consistently acknowledging God's presence.
